About Orla
Hi, I’m a guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, majoring in Guitar. Music has always been more than just sound to me—it’s a language, a journey, and a way to connect. I have a deep passion for composing and arranging music for solo guitar and ensembles. Whether it’s crafting intricate fingerstyle pieces or arranging for small groups, I love helping students explore their creative side. My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and goal-oriented. I adapt lessons to fit school students, hobbyists, and professionals, ensuring everyone finds their path forward. From understanding scales and modes to mastering rhythm, songwriting, and stage performance, I cover the tools needed to grow musically. I’ve helped students move from intermediate to advanced levels with confidence. Some have even gone on to prepare for professional work in music. With over 12 years of guitar experience, I offer expressive, technique-driven lessons tailored to each student’s journey. Whether you're picking up the electric guitar for the first time or preparing for live performance, I bring energy, structure, and inspiration to every session.
My teaching blends foundational technique with artistic expression, helping students find their unique sound while building confidence on stage and in the studio. I specialize in electric guitar, performance coaching, and creative development for those rediscovering their musical side or refining their craft later in life.
Lessons are engaging, interactive, and tech-enhanced. I use amp simulators, chord diagram apps, and digital audio workstations (DAWs) to turn practice into a dynamic experience. You’ll learn how to play—and how to perform.
Curriculum is aligned to meet music education goals and personal milestones. I also support small group sessions for ensemble learning and peer feedback.
Students who feel behind or unsure quickly realize it’s never too late to grow musically. I create a supportive space that encourages consistent progress and joy in playing. Together, we transform passion into skill—with every note played.
