About Tom
I am 21 years old and have been playing guitar since I was 7 and electric since 11. I am passionate about music and find guitar to be the most natural feeling way to play it. I am able to put myself in the shoes of someone getting used to the guitar, or struggling with a certain technique or passage, so find myself able to see where they are coming from and what they need to focus on, which allows me to teach in a personalised way.

I can teach guitar to people of any age, either from scratch or for someone who already plays but wants to improve. I would help you find your strengths and weaknesses and show you how to improve upon these in a way adapted to your taste in music (ie. by using exercises or songs that may emphasise a certain technique or musical element in some way, or by learning gradually more and more advanced pieces)
Lesson times are flexible, could be between 30 minutes and 2 hours.
I have taught friends and family, but am new to professional tutoring. I am patient and good at seeing how to hone in on certain skills and what to hone in on, so think I should make a good tutor.

Perfect! I couldn't be happier with our choice of a guitar tutor for my 12-year-old son - It's not often that you find a teacher who not only has incredible skill but also has a genuine passion for teaching, and Tom embodies both of these qualities perfectly.
During the lesson, Tom exhibited a remarkable blend of patience, expertise, and passion for music. He tailored his teaching approach to my son's age and skill level, ensuring that the lesson was both engaging and educational.
What impressed me the most was our tutor's ability to tailor the lesson to my son's individual needs and skill level. He took the time to assess where my son was at in terms of his guitar knowledge and then proceeded to build on that foundation. This personalized approach ensured that my son felt both challenged and supported throughout the lesson.
