About Adele
I am an English and Latin Literature undergraduate at the University of Warwick, in my second year. I would be very well equipped due to my degree to tutor both English and Latin; both the literature and language sides. I am also strong when it comes to grammar, due to my experience with Latin and modern foreign languages (German and Spanish). I would also be happy to tutor German and History (especially the Tudors and World Wars) due to my As- and A-level studies. I am reliable and polite, and work well with children, due to my experiences both in schools and at home with my younger siblings. I am happy to tutor students of any age and ability. I would describe my tutoring style as patient and encouraging, whilst thorough and exact.
I applied to and attended interviews at the University of Oxford, so I also have experience with the Oxbridge application process, and could potentially help with that. I was fortunate enough to have very good teachers throughout my school life, but I know this is sadly not the case for all children. I hope that, through tutoring, I can provide students with a real passion for, and deep understanding of, their subjects, and education in general (as my teachers did for me).
Please do not be put off by the B for my German A-level. It was not due to a lack of effort on my part, but rather to the very high grade boundaries caused by native German speakers being allowed to take the same exams.
