About Jigna

Learning with me means more than just passing exams—it's about building real understanding, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning. My name is Jigna, and I bring over five years of teaching experience across diverse subjects and age groups, both in-person and online. I specialize in Math, Chemistry, Biology, and languages including Sanskrit, English, Gujarati, Swahili, and Hindi-Urdu. I hold a degree from Harvard University, where I also served as a Teaching Assistant in Organic Chemistry, and I am a certified teacher with a strong background in both academic tutoring and holistic education. My lessons are tailored, engaging, and supportive—focused on helping students truly grasp concepts, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals with clarity and confidence. Whether you're a school student preparing for major exams, a university student seeking clarity in science subjects, or someone passionate about language learning, I bring patience, depth, and dedication to every session. I strive to create a safe, motivating environment where every learner feels respected and empowered. You can expect professionalism, consistency, and care in every interaction. My goal is to help you succeed—not just academically, but as a confident, curious, and capable learner.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is deeply student-centered and rooted in clarity, engagement, and adaptability. I work to understand each learner’s strengths, challenges, and goals, and then tailor my teaching accordingly. My methodology integrates strong conceptual foundations with practical problem-solving and critical thinking—especially in subjects like Math, Chemistry, and Biology, where understanding the "why" behind concepts is key. In the sciences, I break down complex topics into simple, relatable ideas and use real-life applications, visuals, and guided practice to deepen understanding. For languages (Sanskrit, English, Gujarati, Swahili, and Hindi-Urdu), I blend grammar, conversation, reading, writing, and culture to make learning immersive and enjoyable. A typical lesson plan includes: A quick review of previous topics Clear introduction of new content using examples, analogies, or demonstrations Guided practice and interactive problem-solving Q&A and recap to solidify understanding Homework or follow-up activities tailored to the student’s level I also incorporate digital tools, quizzes, and visuals to keep lessons interactive and track progress over time. What sets me apart as a tutor is my unique combination of teaching both sciences and languages with depth and versatility. I bring over five years of experience tutoring diverse learners—from primary students to university level—and have served as a Teaching Assistant at Harvard University in Organic Chemistry. I’m a certified teacher, and I integrate warmth, creativity, and rigor into every lesson. These lessons are for: Primary to high school students needing support in Math, Chemistry, or Biology Students preparing for exams like IGCSE, A-levels, IB, or national curricula University students needing help in specific science subjects Language learners of all ages—beginners to advanced—interested in communication, academic support, or cultural connection Whether you need help mastering equations, understanding chemical reactions, exploring life sciences, or learning a new language, I offer structured, motivating, and customized support for every learner.
