I have an MA in Creative Writing with Pedagogical Studies, and am currently working towards a PhD at Manchester Metropolitan University where I regularly contribute towards undergraduate teaching. I have wide experience facilitating writing workshops for all age groups; I have also worked as a lecturer in a vocational college, teaching functional skills at all levels. I currently tutor online for Writers' Workshop, and have extensive experience of distance and online learning.
In addition to the above, I am a published novelist and freelance writer - the English language, analysing texts, creative approaches to essay writing, grammar and punctuation are all topics where I can bring experience and clarity in a friendly and non-pressured way. My students say they find me approachable, helpful and fun to work with.
