I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Arabic from Sohag University in Egypt. I received my degree in 2006 and I continued my postgraduate studies soon after my graduation. I had my postgraduate studies and pre-master’s in Arabic grammar and morphology. I have always had an interest in Arabic and teaching it. Even after having a master’s degree I went ahead and applied for a career certificate in teaching Arabic as a foreign language, at the American University in Cairo. I have been teaching Arabic for over 8 years, and I can say with confidence that I have acquired the skills as well as the knowledge required to excel in the field of teaching Arabic to both native and non-native speakers.
Throughout my career the courses I found interesting were related to Arabic grammar, teaching new vocabulary, using technology in the classroom and morphology. I attended several different workshops related to teaching and I still keep developing new skills that really helps in achieving my objects as a teacher of Arabic.
