I will tailor each student's instruction time to meet their individual needs. A typical lesson plan would include front-loading the student with vocabulary needed for the day's lesson (if needed). A quick assessment of background knowledge will also be a part of the welcome/introduction. As I model how to solve mathematical equations or to write a paragraph, students will take notes. Next, we will solve problems together or compose the next phase of our paragraph together. Finally, students will work independently to show understanding of the lesson content. The last part of our lesson will be a wrap-up to ensure understanding, to ask any further questions, to preview the next lesson and to discuss upcoming tests/quizzes that your child may have.
