As a tutor it is important for me to build a relationship to understand your preferences as a learner. I create a welcoming environment where you will feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and I move at your pace. I'm excellent at building foundational skills in students.
I am skilled at highlighting the strengths you bring to the table and targeting sensible pathways to develop your skills. I will provide video examples of how to navigate questions as a general overview. Then, I provide a teacher model with guided questions to ensure you understand the flow. By the end of the lesson, we will have an opportunity to complete questions independently and compare our process.
My tutoring sessions is best for middle and high school math. What sets me apart is that I come prepared with targeted support to meet our needs, not solely helping with homework. I also offer opportunities for additional practice outside of our sessions. Additionally, I help students understand how they learn.
