I am a professional Afrikaans Tutor accredited with a MS Finance from one of the best Finance graduate schools in New York City.

I’m born and raised South African, with a South African Dutch-English accent. I also speak Spanish, some French, and some Italian, so I understand what it’s like to learn and navigate different languages. I’ve lived internationally too — one year near Miami and five years in New York City — which has given me a global perspective and a deep appreciation for different cultures and ways of communicating. I love helping students build confidence, improve fluency, and feel comfortable speaking the wonder. I’m here to support you and make learning enjoyable. I look forward to meeting you!

Perfect! I would highly recommend Joshua. I’ve already learnt so much from my lessons and feel a lot more confident with Afrikaans. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and has a great way of explaining things clearly and making everything easy to understand.
