About Harleen Kaur
I'm a Health Studies grad from UWaterloo with an interest in older adults, queer people, and non-mainstream ways of thinking. I have been tutoring and mentoring others for 8 years, specifically in writing and editing for two. I can provide an introduction to more qualitative ways of thinking and am an excellent interviewer.

I like to start by knowing what the students' goals are and receiving a writing sample. Then, I will thoroughly edit the sample on my own and go through my edits with the students to explain exactly where they need to improve. Most importantly, I talk to students about the topic and encourage them to think deeply about it as well as other perspectives. I focus a lot on reflexivity and understanding our underlying assumptions. Then, I move to more technical aspects of organizing ideas, planning, writing, and editing.
