The techniques I use in tutoring sessions are:
1. Communicative Language Teaching (CLT): Focuses on real-life communication and fluency rather than just memorizing rules.
2. Total Physical Response (TPR): Links vocabulary to physical movements, allowing learners to respond to verbal commands with whole-body actions before producing the language themselves.
3. Break-It-Down or "Phonetics Approach": Taking new and big words and breaking them into smaller 3 letter pieces, focusing on the pronunciation before diving into the meaning and application of the word. Teaching learners to decode unfamiliar words by breaking them down into sound-letter relationships.
My Qualifications:
- I am a UBCO English Literature student graduating in April 2027, additionally specializing in cultural studies and psychology.
