About Chukwuamaka

I am from South Africa and have been in Swansea for 4 years. I enjoy knitting and baking. I tried to teach myself how to play the violin over lockdown; I’m still trying :). The sciences were my favourite subjects in high school.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching the sciences is making my students aware of the significance of the particular subject. I found that when I enjoyed doing a subject I performed better because I dedicated more time and put more effort into understanding the topic. My learning did not end with being taught in the classroom. In addition to this I make sure my students are exam ready. Studying is made of two components, understanding the subject and also understanding the exam (developing exam techniques).

Thorough and in depth teachings with an amicable personality and charming laugh; I found the topic summaries extremely useful, additional resources and cross-referencing with allied disciplines really good and also liked the focus on developing my knowledge retention and reasoning instead of just feeding me the answers
