About Dr Azra

I am Dr. Azra Shamshad, working as General practitioner since 5 years… recently I passed my MRCP part 1 and fell in love with Biochemistry and I started teaching it to kids in my building and realized that I am really good at it…

About the lesson

Biochemistry is like the language of life—it's the study of the molecules and chemical processes that make up all living organisms. One fascinating aspect is how it reveals the incredible complexity hidden within even the simplest life forms. For instance, consider enzymes, which are nature's tiny machines. These specialized proteins can speed up chemical reactions in our bodies by over a million times, making it possible for us to digest food, repair cells, and think—all in real-time. What’s more, biochemistry is at the heart of innovations like CRISPR, a gene-editing tool that can precisely alter DNA, opening up possibilities for curing genetic diseases. So, biochemistry isn’t just about understanding life—it’s about shaping the future…
