Hello!
My name is Yuval and I’m a 3rd year Neuroscience student at King’s College London. I am passionate about all things science, but especially about biology – the science that offers us a true glimpse into the wonders of life, the way our inner systems work, and our interaction with the world around us.
I love teaching, and believe my enthusiasm is contagious. I have experience teaching maths, biology and chemistry to IB students, all of which improved their scores by an average of 2 points. My style is student-centric and highly adaptive, focusing not only on the syllabus but on each student’s personal learning journey, any gaps that might have emerged along the way, and his or her unique strengths and weaknesses.
My teaching approach is to explain concepts through multiple and creative ways, connecting concepts together with easily remembered examples from everyday life. As our brains are geared best to remember stories rather than lists of information, this is the most effective way to memorize and elevate your writing style during exams.
Most importantly, I believe that successful learning is not only about retaining information but also about emotional wellbeing. As someone who knows all too well what exam stress feels like, I know how important it is to help students cut through their sense of overwhelmingness, better organize their knowledge and thoughts, and reach their true potential!
