About Genelle
I’m a dedicated high school senior with a deep love for learning and a 1500 SAT score, bringing both academic strength and genuine enthusiasm to every tutoring session. Alongside my strong academic background, I’m an active student-athlete involved in soccer, lacrosse, golf, and wrestling. I also play the violin and piano, skateboard, and care for a small menagerie of pets (including a cat, fish, snails, and shrimp) reflecting my curiosity and sense of responsibility. My inquisitive nature drives me to explore a wide range of topics, and I bring that same curiosity and energy into teaching. I aim to create a supportive, engaging environment where students feel respected and confident in their abilities. With years of experience teaching children and peers in multiple continents, I approach each session with patience, clarity, and professionalism.

My teaching approach focuses on engagement, confidence, and collaboration. I model how to solve problems, then have students walk me through the steps to reinforce understanding while I support, guide, and encourage them as needed. I create a peer-like environment where students feel heard, understood, and respected.
I work with toddlers and young children (ages 2-8), drawing on techniques I’ve learned from my mother, a school teacher, to address emotions, short attention spans, and make learning fun. I also tutor high school students in English and SAT Math and Reading, drawing from my own 1500 SAT score to provide targeted strategies and support. My mission is to foster an environment in which both my younger and older student look forward to their tutoring sessions and don't feel any stress/pressure from them.
