As an online English and reading tutor, my typical lesson plan aims to cultivate a fun and engaging learning environment for younger students (elementary level) while leveraging the expertise of high school (10th grade) mentors. Each session begins with a warm-up activity using digital flashcards to reinforce basic vocabulary, fostering active participation through voice interaction or chat engagement. The heart of the lesson lies in a shared reading experience, where I utilize online platforms to present captivating storybooks, emphasizing pronunciation, intonation, and comprehension skills. To solidify understanding, interactive activities like virtual scavenger hunts or collaborative worksheets are employed, encouraging hands-on learning and peer interaction. What sets me apart is my adaptive teaching style, tailored to suit the online environment and cater to diverse learning needs, ensuring every student feels supported and motivated to excel in English and reading.
