About Zainab
Hello, I'm Zainab! I'm the oldest of 4 siblings and have spent time during the school year helping them in various subjects such as math and English.
I understand how lost students can be when they're struggling with academics and feeling stupid or nervous to ask questions. I want to end the stigma that students must understand everything they're taught firsthand by allowing you to ask as many questions as you can and practicing with me until you're confident practicing alone.

Hi there! I'm Zainab, and I'll be your math tutor. I believe math is best understood by knowing not just how to solve a problem but also why each step works. Once I started applying this mindset, solving problems became more enjoyable rather than feeling like a chore.
There's no such thing as a "dumb" question; rather, there's a question never asked. Mistakes are expected because you'll learn more from them and strengthen your understanding.
Because each student has different goals—such as acing a test or improving their performance at school—each lesson will be personalized. A typical lesson will include identifying the obstacle you're facing, and I'll explain it in clear, concise language. Then, we'll work through math problems together until you're more confident.
I teach elementary-level math through Algebra II.
