About Vanessa
Hi! I'm Vanessa, and I'm a high school sophomore. I'm in Precalculus/Trig Honors at my school, and I've successfully taken the previous honors classes. I know sometimes teachers cannot mold to particular learning methods, and there will be times that you have to teach yourself. I had to teach myself the entire geometry honors course because of online school, and it was definitely not an easy feat. When it comes to math, having fast, accurate, basic skills can help so much when it comes to learning further concepts, so I want to help others hone those skills to prepare them for further success.

I will explain tips and tricks for memorizing math concepts and help create fast and accurate basic math skills. A typical lesson plan would include: a brief timed warm up to hone basic math skills, time to go over any homework questions from school, and focus on getting down math concepts on a similar learning path as in school. I've taken the Kumon math program well through Level N, and I know the frustration behind having to teach yourself math, as well as learning self-discipline. I am a high school student, so I am exposed to what the classes look like and require now. I offer lessons for middle school and high school students in pre-algebra, algebra (I and II), and geometry.

Details
I am available on Wednesday evenings, and late Thursdays and Fridays. Best times for Wednesdays are 6-7pm, 7-8pm, and 8-9pm (EST). For Thursdays and Fridays, 7:30-8:30pm, and 8:30-9:30 pm also work.
