About Tony Guppy
Tony Guppy is a Pannist (Steelpan player) performer, composer and steelpan educator.
A native of Trinidad & Tobago, which is also the birth place of the steelpan instrument.
Born into a family that has a long history with the steelpan instruments,
For someone who had absolutely no thought or plans on becoming a professional musician, Tony Guppy has already has accomplished a lot more than the average musician could ever dream of….
From winning Trinidad and Tobago National soloist contest (1994 ) to performing for the Prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago, as well as foreign dignitaries in Columbia and Japan .
He has performed and recorded with Trinidad and Tobago calypso legend Lord Kitchener (The Grand Master Of Calypso). USA Legends bassist, Paul Jackson, and Grammy award winning bassist Marcus Miller.
Also recorded and performed with Japanese legendary superstar guitarist CHAR.
Guppy has performed in USA (New York, New Jersey, California, Nevada, Texas, Wisconsin etc. )
He has also toured and performed in the Caribbean, Europe and South America as well as Asia.

Born into a family of steelpan builders / manufacturers, I teach from a place of extremely deep love and dedication for the art form and instrument.
So it’s only natural that I want to share this natural love for music and the Steelpan instrument through teaching.
As a student al you will need is a desire to grow and a love for music . Don’t worry about your level of skills or technique.
We will take care of that and do it in a way that produces great results. you are sure to find new love and interest in the steelpan instrument.
Guppy’s Lessons are for All levels : all tsteelpan (steeldrum) players are welcomed.
