About Elizabeth
I have a degree in French and German and have been teaching EFL since 1989. I have taught in the UK, Japan and Poland. I have taught General English at all levels as well as prepared students for IELTS, FCE, CAE and CPE. I have taught various ages and a wide range of nationalities, from large classes to 1:1 mainly in language school and university settings.

I am creative and resourceful and adapt well to different working situations. I endeavour to give each student a positive, personalised experience and guide them in their studies wherever possible through positive communication, knowing my students and their needs and enabling them to reach their potential. I provide positive feedback and integrate assessment so students can measure their progress.
My classes are informal, enjoyable and varied, but focussed on keeping the students challenged, engaged and hardworking, which leads to positive outcomes. In class I would say I practise ‘principled eclecticism’ in teaching, in line with principles of communicative methodology, while happy to experiment and ensure I respond to the needs of the students. I am approachable and flexible.
