About Ava
I am a student undergoing my second year of Alevels. Truthfully, my love for history started the moment I watched my first episode of BBC’s Horrible Histories and since then it has catapulted into my favourite passion. I achieved a majority of 8s and 9s in my GCSE and since then have been completing many history-themed projects and participating in competitions such as The Great Debate 2022. I have experience working with children from tutoring within my school and babysitting, and I am very excited to help inspire a passion for history!

My teaching style includes a range of interactive and analytical techniques, from essay practice to imaginative games made to aid memorisation of facts. However, it is 100% tailored to the student. I recognise that everyone’s brain works differently, so if you don’t get on with one technique we can try as many different ones as needed to see what works for you! One lesson is typically 55 minutes and is ideal for students between years 7-11.
