About Olivia
I have been working as a private art tutor for over 10 years and I have a masters in Fine Art from The Royal College of Art. I also worked for over 20 years as an illustrator. I have taught painting (watercolour, acrylic, oil, inks etc), drawing ( pen and ink, pencil, graphite, charcoal, pastels etc) ,collage art, printmaking, art history etc to all ages and abilities, from total beginners to university level. I have built portfolios for college/university applications, taught art as a hobby to individuals and groups and I have tutored A' level and GCSE students.

My approach to teaching is very much holistic and based on the individual. I will discuss with the student what they wish to achieve from the lessons and then we will base our lessons around subjects that interest them but that draw in all the key skills and theory to become confident in their own personal art practice. We will cover practical skills, but also discuss the artwork in context of artists and art history.
