About Asif
I hold a Master's from the University of Oxford, and completed doctoral coursework at George Washington University. I have spent over twenty years working as an economist and policy analyst at the United Nations — at UNICEF, UNESCO, and the Executive Office of the Secretary-General — applying economics and finance to real decisions affecting millions of people across the world.
Before that career, I taught Economics, Business Studies, and Accounting at secondary level in the UK, and university-level Macroeconomics and Development Economics in Pakistan. I am a published researcher, an experienced presenter to expert and non-expert audiences alike, and I know how to explain complex ideas clearly and at the right level.
Whatever you are studying — IB Economics, A-Levels, AP, or undergraduate — you will be learning from someone who has lived the subject, not just taught it from a textbook.

I am an economist and international policy professional with over two decades of experience. I hold a Master's in Comparative Social Policy as well as a Master's degree in Finance.
My lessons are grounded in genuine subject expertise to complement textbook knowledge. Whether you are studying for IB Economics, A-Levels, AP Economics, or an undergraduate course in micro, macro, development economics, public finance, or accounting, I tailor each session to where you are and to help you achieve your targets.
Usually, I begin by connecting with the learner to determine what your current level of understanding of the subject is and what your targets are for the following months.
Following this, I design each lesson to cover a particular topic. I go over the main details of the topic with the learner, which is followed by a discussion and then practice exercises. I finish the session with a quick review and a discussion about preparation for the next session.
