About Natalie
I have two years experience teaching both private and group classes. I have studied a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History and Politics at the University of Auckland, NZ. Here I focussed on ´Problems in the Historic Method` & `History in Postmodernism´. I later completed a Graduate Diploma in Anthropology at the University of Sheffield, UK focussing on `Urban anthropology and the Spatial turn´. My current research interests include:
- aesthetic politics, a question of functionalism in UNESCO heritage
- ontology of remembering using architectural memorials as an access point to culture
I have gone through both the UK and NZ schooling systems both in lower and higher education and which has provided me with a dual insight and a dynamic understanding.

I have studied theoretically and philosophically not just subject matter but also their pedagogy, epistemology and methodology. I therefore believe these very theoretical subjects require a reflexive teaching style that teaches its content alongside a dialogue as to how we teach/acquire knowledge as well as how we use then use it. Through Internships in sustainable housing and cultural heritage I have gained experience taking this theory into the practical, real world.
