About Sebastian
I am a University of Manchester graduate of Politics and Modern History, currently working in public policy research. I am passionate about teaching and have over 3 years of experience, tutoring individuals, as well as well as teaching in schools abroad in Cambodia. Education is hugely important to me, but I appreciate that the quality of education people receive is massively disproportionate, relating to socioeconomic background. I want to help students who are struggling with their studies or who have suffered due to the circumstances their upbringing, as an avenue to create positive and meaningful social impact.
The reality of many schools and universities is that professors don’t have the time and capacity to explain why a well-researched essay didn’t achieve the grade you hoped- I once struggled in feeling I was acting on essay feedback only to receive another disappointing grade, but learnt over time what the required features of a great essay were, allowing me to achieve the grade I did, and I hope to share this with you.
Moreover, I have experience working with school children of different ages, tutoring in English, Maths and History. Moreover, I have past experience tutoring students with different learning difficulties. Please get in touch if you or your child require aid in any of these subjects.

Following an initial session, I will look to create personalised lessons which tailor to the problems my students are facing. I believe in a collaborative approach to my lessons, where we openly discuss the areas students would like to improve, as well as methods which are collaboratively agreed upon through discussion. Lesson plans will reflect these discussions which we have early on in our meetings.
For older students at University or school wanting help with essay writing, I ask students to send me through a recent essay which I will review, before providing feedback in person. We will then go through a prepared document which I will share, which outlines features of a great essay.
Moreover, if your child is wanting tutoring in the content of Maths, English or History, I have lesson plans prepared which require no previous work for the child.
