About Elliott

Having graduated in Modern History and Politics from a Russell Group University I fully understand the stress and difficulty of managing a degree.

I am passionate about History and Politics and in my spare time produce my own articles on International Relations, Geopolitics and Modern History post 1939.

I also focus on the basic elements and foundations of academic writing, referencing, essay planning and engagement with existing literature. My own experience has allowed me to be in a position to fully explain and outline these crucial elements of successful academic writing often are overlooked or misunderstood by students.

About the lesson

I aim to not simply get the project done but give students the skills and knowledge to approach further essays systematically and correctly.

Having tutored students through dissertation and final project essays I ensure all projects are firstly planned and understood thoroughly.

Referencing, grammar and the appropriate engagement with literature are essential components that I focus on.

I aim to ensure lessons are broken up into managble sections.

I provide a reading list for students to go through after our lesson to ensure they are progressing well outside of our time together.

Elliott is a fantastic tutor and has really helped me through many tests and exams. His lessons are always interesting and engaging. He is brilliant at explaining things in simple, concise ways which make hard to understand concepts much easier. The first time Elliott worked with me, he was especially helpful, he helped with my successful Russell Group uni applications. I would highly recommend Elliott as a tutor to everyone!
