About Zak
I am a recent Bristol University history graduate. I have 3 months of experience teaching English to Chinese students aged 11-21. I have also tutored several students for GCSE level qualifications. I am a keen researcher and received a 1st in my dissertation. I also worked as a researcher for BBC global news.

Students have different ways of effective learning and so I plan my lessons on a personalised, student by student basis. I would assess the ability and most appropriate learning method of each student and structure lessons accordingly. I would need to understand both gaps in knowledge and areas to improve student skillsets and methods. I would summarise the overall topic to provide context of the new learning material. We would then slowly unpack the topic together, whether that be the Cuban Missile Crisis, a Ted Hughes poem or an understanding chemical equations.
