About Miranda
During my senior year of high school, I was the head of the after school tutoring program offered by the National Honors Society. I was a tutor with both Sylvan and Huntington Learning Centers, helping students in various subject areas in 2011. In my time as a teacher overseas in the Dominican Republic from 2014 to 2017 at MI-EL Christian School, I have done after school tutoring, giving homework help and also helping students learn and practice their English.

I am offering homework help to elementary, middle, and high school students, which can be in a variety of subjects such as history and social studies, english and language arts, math, Spanish, and perhaps more. I would endeavor to talk with the student and parents to ascertain areas of struggle and strive to help the student do better by personally going through the material with him/her. There might also be the opportunity for playing games and doing activities with the subject matter to make it more enjoyable and interesting.
