Teaching Spanish is my passion, and I care deeply about my students and their goals and interests. I take time to plan my lessons and be sure that I am meeting the needs of my students, as well as the goals of our lessons. I strive to create lessons that reflect real-life goals (for example, describing yourself and/or your family, talking about your likes and dislikes, talking about food and travel, giving advice and recommendations, narrating past events, etc.) that also incorporate my students' interests and pop culture references to keep conversations engaging.
My lessons are made for beginning students of Spanish (with no experience or little experience),intermediate and advanced students. I have taught in several Philadelphia area universities for the last 13 year, including Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Spanish, as well as specialized courses such as Spanish for Business.
A typical lesson would be presentation of the day's material (vocabulary or grammar), which includes an explanation (most times with accompanying visuals), guided practice with me, and then independent or group practice and review.
