As a teacher with a strong academic background in life sciences, my approach blends subject expertise with student-centered teaching. I believe in making concepts accessible, engaging, and applicable to real-life contexts—especially in science education.
1. Teaching Techniques and Methods:
I use a combination of conceptual explanation, visual aids (like diagrams and videos), and interactive questioning to stimulate critical thinking. I adapt my methods depending on the learner’s level and learning style—whether they are visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners. I often incorporate everyday examples to help students relate abstract scientific or mathematical concepts to their own lives.
2. Usual Structure of a Class:
Each class begins with a quick review of previously covered topics, followed by a clear explanation of new concepts. I break down complex topics into manageable parts and regularly pause for questions and discussions. Toward the end of the session, I conduct a short recap and assign practice problems or mini-assessments to reinforce learning.
3. Special Features as a Teacher:
What sets me apart is my ability to simplify complex scientific ideas and my patience in ensuring every student grasps the material. I bring research experience into the classroom to cultivate curiosity and a scientific mindset. My classes are not just about rote learning but about understanding, application, and developing problem-solving skills.
4. Intended Audience:
My classes are primarily intended for school-level students (primary to secondary level), especially those seeking support in science subjects like biology, physics, and chemistry, as well as mathematics. However, I’m also equipped to assist college students in life sciences or those preparing for competitive exams.
