About Bence
I am a freelance writer in the advertising industry and the author of published poetry and short stories. With two Master’s degrees in English Literature and Creative Writing, I aim to bridge self-expression with academic rigour. I first noticed during my own school years that teaching often reduced English to box-ticking rather than deep understanding. My approach equips students with the tools to critically engage with texts, fostering both passion and transferable analytical skills that support success across subjects. Outside of teaching, I play competitive basketball and create short films.

I believe literature should spark curiosity, not feel like homework. My teaching develops middle school students’ ability to critically engage with literature while fostering genuine intellectual curiosity. Lessons emphasise both analytical skills and lasting appreciation for texts beyond the classroom.
