About Mary
Homework can feel overwhelming, especially when the lessons don’t seem to click in class. That’s where I come in. I offer patient, one-on-one homework help designed to make learning clear, organized, and confidence-building — not stressful. With a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics and a Master’s in Physics from Stony Brook University, I bring a strong academic foundation and a deep understanding of how students learn. My lessons go beyond simply finishing assignments — I focus on why an answer works, not just what the answer is. This helps students develop critical thinking skills and lasting understanding they can use in every subject. For students with learning differences or attention challenges, I adapt my approach to match their learning style — using shorter tasks, visual aids, repetition, or movement breaks when needed. My goal is always to create a supportive space where students feel capable, motivated, and proud of their progress. Each lesson is designed not just to complete homework, but to help students understand, retain, and grow. Over time, they become more independent learners — confident in their abilities and ready to take on new challenges.
