About Rachel
Hi! My name is Rachel, and I’m an upcoming high school senior with a strong background in advanced math courses, including Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra 2/Trigonometry, AP Precalculus, and AP Calculus BC. I understand how challenging and stressful math classes can feel because I’ve recently gone through them myself, and I want to help students feel more confident and prepared.
I specialize in helping middle school and high school students strengthen their understanding of math concepts, improve problem-solving skills, and prepare for upcoming classes. My goal is not only to help students complete assignments correctly, but also to make sure they truly understand the material and feel more comfortable in class.
As a tutor, I am patient, organized, and supportive. I know that every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and teaching style to match each student’s needs. I focus on building confidence step by step and creating a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
Because I am currently a student myself, I understand the structure, pace, and expectations of high school math courses. I can help students learn the strategies, patterns, and foundations that make classes easier before the school year even begins. Whether a student needs regular support during the semester or summer preparation with one or two lessons per week, I am committed to helping them succeed.

I tutor online through calls, Zoom sessions, and messaging support, mainly for middle school and high school students who want extra help, summer preparation, or a better understanding of their classes.
Because I’m also a high school student, I know what these classes are actually like, how teachers structure them, and which concepts students usually struggle with most.
My teaching style focuses on making math less overwhelming and more understandable step by step. Instead of just memorizing formulas, I help students recognize patterns, understand why concepts work, and learn how to approach problems with confidence.
A typical lesson usually includes reviewing difficult topics, practicing problems together, and learning strategies that make school assignments and tests easier. I can also help students prepare for upcoming math classes during the summer with one or two lessons a week so they start the school year feeling more prepared and less stressed.
What sets me apart is that I teach from the perspective of someone currently experiencing these classes myself. I understand the stress, workload, and pace of high school math courses, and I want to help students feel supported by someone who truly relates to what they’re going through.
