About Charlotte
I am a dedicated and reliable tutor with several years of experience working with students of different ages, backgrounds and learning styles. I am currently studying molecular biology and integrative physiology at the University of Colorado Boulder's honors college. My background as a swim coach and tutor has strengthened my communication skills, patience and has provided me with experience working with students of different ages, backgrounds and learning styles. My lessons are interactive and collaborative. I encourage students to first approach problems independently so I can understand their thought process, so we can then work together to correct misconceptions and strengthen core concepts. Instead of just giving answers, I focus on building confidence, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. A typical lesson includes reviewing goals, working through guided practice and reinforcing understanding with practice problems. My background as a tutor and swim coach, working with many different ages and levels, allows me to adapt lessons to fit the needs of every unique student.
