As an English tutor, I take a personalized, student-centered approach to teaching. I begin by assessing the student’s current strengths and areas for growth, then tailor lessons to suit their learning style—whether visual, auditory, or hands-on. My focus is on building a solid foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and structure, while also helping students develop their own voice in writing and feel confident when speaking.
A typical lesson includes a brief warm-up activity to activate prior knowledge, followed by targeted instruction using real-world examples and interactive exercises. We then move into guided practice—writing, editing, or analyzing text together—and wrap up with a short review and feedback session. I provide regular progress updates and adjust each session to meet evolving needs.
What sets me apart is my academic background in psychology, which helps me understand different learning behaviours and apply motivational strategies that boost engagement. I also prioritize making lessons feel encouraging and low-pressure, which allows students to take risks, ask questions, and grow.
