About Matt
I'm a Philosophy graduate with a passion for connecting with people and sharing knowledge. Having studied at the University of Edinburgh, I developed strong analytical and communication skills that I now bring to teaching. Through my university years, I was active in several societies including Investment Trading and AI Ethics, which gives me unique insights to share with students interested in business or technology. I'm particularly skilled at breaking down complex ideas into digestible parts - something I honed through both my academic studies and my experience in customer-facing roles. Being a squash player and cricket coach has taught me the value of patience, structured learning, and celebrating small victories along the way. When I'm not teaching, you might find me analysing market trends, discussing AI ethics, or coaching junior cricket players. My diverse interests - from philosophy to finance, sports to technology - help me connect with students from various backgrounds and make lessons more engaging by relating to their personal interests.
