About Reim
Welcome! My name is Reim, and I am thrilled to embark on this language journey with you. As a passionate and experienced French tutor, my mission is to inspire confidence and guide you towards fluency in French with dedication!
I hold a certificate in bilingual studies (french immersion) and have had experience tutoring high school students in French! I have also had experience teaching FSL material to international students from all around the world.
Whether you're a beginner starting your French journey, an intermediate learner aiming to improve, or an advanced student seeking to perfect your skills, I am here to guide you every step of the way. I am a passionate tutor that focuses on student-centered learning, an interactive and communicative approach, and the use of regular assessment and feedback!
A typical lesson plan would include a quick review of previous material in French, and a short and engaging activity to get the student thinking in French. Then, we will go into the new topic of the lesson where we will then go into the main activities looking at interactive exercises with dialogues and one-on-one discussions, listening and comprehension activities, and reading exercises to ensure understanding. We will then practice the skills learned together with guidance and independent practice for reinforcement. Lastly, we'll do a review and Q&A to summarize the key points of the lesson and address any questions or difficulties the student may be experiencing. We will end off the lesson with a brief overview of what will be covered in the next lesson and then assign any practical tasks or exercises and suggest additional resources for practice.
I strive to tailor each lesson to the specific needs and goals of my students, and ensure that the content is relevant and engaging. I am also very flexible in adapting my lesson plans based on the student's progress and feedback. Beyond just language, I incorporate cultural elements of French-speaking countries, making the learning more holistic and interesting.
My lessons are catered towards school students ranging from primary to secondary with beginner to intermediate knowledge.
