About Preesha
I have always loved teaching! When I was younger, to understand concepts I was learning at school better, I'd teach my dog (although not very successfully). I then also went on to mentor my juniors at high school- and personally, this deepened my knowledge of the subject, too. I am also very passionate about Economics and am pursuing it as my major at the University of Strathclyde. I am flexible with the approach I take towards students when it comes to their learning style. Whether you are an auditory learner or a visual one- economics is a subject that makes space for both!

I tutor students attempting their GCSE Economics papers (across boards- OCR, AQA, Cambridge). During my GCSEs, I scored 6 A*s, and I believe the key reason for this was questions and past-paper practice, not just theoretical reading- and this is something I aim to implement in all my sessions. Based on the student's preferences, a session lasts anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours- with a portion of the time set for understanding the material, and then for practising it. While the lessons are usually weekly, I can adapt this to the student's needs. I'm a student myself-in the second year of BA Hons Economics and Finance at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow- so I understand what a student needs, and I make sure my sessions are approachable and interesting.
