About Gaura

Hi, I’m Gaura.
I am a high-achieving IB student with an A* in IGCSE Biology and straight 7s in IB Biology HL. Biology is not just a subject I performed well in. It is a subject I have mastered strategically, analytically, and consistently under exam conditions.

What sets me apart is simple. I have recently achieved the exact results your child is aiming for, within the current syllabus and assessment system. I understand what earns full marks, what examiners reward, and where students typically lose points. My insight is not outdated or theoretical. It is current, practical, and proven.

I approach tutoring with structure and precision. Every lesson is planned. Every concept is broken down clearly. Every exam question is treated as a skill to be mastered. I focus on helping students think critically, interpret data confidently, and write answers that secure top band marks.

At the same time, I am approachable and easy to work with. Students often find it easier to ask questions and engage fully when they feel understood. I know the pressure of IGCSE and IB firsthand, and I teach in a way that is rigorous without being overwhelming.

Choosing a tutor is an investment. My goal is to ensure that investment translates into measurable academic improvement, stronger confidence, and higher performance. I do not offer generic support. I offer targeted, results-driven guidance designed for students who want to perform at their best.

If you want expert, personalized, and affordable support that produces real results, I’m ready to help your child reach their full potential.

My name is Gaura, and I am a high achieving high school student offering structured and results driven tutoring in IGCSE and IB Biology.

I earned an A* in IGCSE Biology and straight 7s in IB Biology HL. These results were not achieved through memorization alone, but through disciplined study methods, strategic exam preparation, and a deep understanding of biological concepts. I now teach students the same systems and techniques that allowed me to perform at the highest level.

My Teaching Approach:

My methodology is focused, analytical, and exam oriented. I begin by identifying specific conceptual weaknesses and gaps in exam technique. From there, I use:
1.Clear breakdowns of complex topics into manageable steps
2. Active recall and structured revision frameworks
3. Intensive past paper practice with detailed mark scheme analysis
4. Training on command terms, data interpretation, and structured responses
5. Support with IB Internal Assessments, including clarity, argumentation, and scientific reasoning

I emphasize understanding over memorization. Students learn how to think like examiners and how to approach unfamiliar questions with confidence.

Why Choose Me:

While many tutors rely solely on years of experience, I offer recent, proven success within the exact systems your child is navigating. I have mastered the current syllabus and assessment style, not a version from years ago. I understand common student mistakes because I encountered and overcame them myself.
Students often benefit from learning with someone who understands their academic environment firsthand. I combine strong academic credibility with approachability and patience, creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and pushing themselves further.
My focus is not just improvement, but measurable excellence. I teach students how to move from partial understanding to full marks.

Lesson Structure:

Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are structured to include concept clarification, guided application, and exam style practice to ensure consistent progress.

Who My Lessons Are For:

1.IGCSE Biology students
2. IB Biology SL and HL students
3. Students aged approximately 14 to 18

I work with students who want to strengthen their foundation, raise their grades, or achieve top band results.
I am committed to providing disciplined, structured, and supportive guidance to help each student reach their full academic potential.
