About Vani
I started teaching English in 2001 as a school teacher and since then there's no looking back and now I have completed more than 20 years in the same segment.
I was totally involved in skill development for the English Language focusing on teaching listening, speaking, reading & writing.
I love everything about teaching, most importantly it allows me to look at things from wider perspectives. As my learners come from varied backgrounds, I get a different purview of a topic we may be discussing. IGCSE & IB curriculum is a learner-centered, flexible curriculum. I allow my learners to read a variety of texts and develop an understanding of implied meaning & information.
I am an adaptable teacher, I give my learners the lead in their learnings. I use lots of different teaching activities, I feel comfortable teaching both young learners & adults. I conduct teacher training sessions for my peers and juniors. I believe that the environment affects both teachers and learners therefore try to make it conducive for them.
I love teaching a living language English which is both a knowledge and skill-based subject as a learner of language gains skills of listening, speaking, reading & writing and with help of these skills gains knowledge by reading varied literary stuff.
