About Phumla
I am teacher Phumla, and I am delighted to be your English tutor. With a Bachelor’s degree in Education and ten years of experience, I am passionate about creating a joyful and supportive learning environment where young learners can thrive. I believe in the power of play-based learning (children learn valuable skills that support their social, physical and cognitive development) and storytelling to develop language skills and spark imagination. Outside the classroom, I love crafting and exploring nature, often drawing inspiration from these activities to enrich our lessons. I am excited to embark on this exciting journey of discovery and growth with my learners.

I am a licensed teacher originally from Eastern Cape. I worked as a grade 4-9 teacher at a school in Ugie. My mission is to ensure that every child and adult succeeds and feels proud of their accomplishments. I have been a teacher for 10 years and I have tutored children both in-person at their homes and online for the past two years. I can help your child with homework assignments and projects in addition to teaching basic skills. My students say I am kind and funny, too!
