About Anna-Maria
I am a writer, English teacher, and theatre maker from Austria. This is my third year living in Dublin. While my accent in English might not be that of the average Dubliner, I have vast knowledge of grammar, spelling, writing, linguistics, and literature. I have tutored numerous individual students over the years, and ever since I got my TEFL certificate in 2020, I have ventured into "proper" teaching (as opposed to "just" tutoring), and working with small groups as well as with individuals.

My teaching methods are based on official TEFL guidelines: the four skills speaking, listening, reading, and writing. During lessons, I can focus on either of those skills, any particular grammar topics, spelling, or a mix of everything.
I have been tutoring fellow students on and off since I was about 14. Since then, I have gained a few qualifications, like a BA in English, a certificate in teaching English as a foreign language, and an MA in Creative Writing.
I'm open to teaching/tutoring all levels and all ages, although I can only teach online at the moment, which I would not recommend for young children.
Lessons typically last for a full hour (60 minutes), but shorter or longer sessions can be catered to as well.
