About STUART ROBERT
I have been writing fiction for over three years, producing works of horror and fantasy which have received favorable reviews. My determination to succeed has nurtured my ability to work with other people within the creative sphere, with quick responses and a friendly manner. My ability to critique and provide feedback has been borne out of my time as a video game critic (2018-2021) and as an indie author (2022-present). I am able to analyze and explain the flaws and strengths within a piece of creative writing easily. As a lover of literature, I have been studying English literature for over four years having achieved an A level on the topic. I have honed the ability to understand and explain the meaning of a text. I have spent some time as a mentor to my fellow students when I worked on short courses for a BSc in Economics. Here I have worked in helping students get to grips with the materials successfully. Students who decide to work with me will gain access to a friendly, punctual and knowledgeable individual who will use his knowledge to help the student achieve the best grade possible.

First session will be an introduction, both the parent and student will discuss with me what is required. The lessons are tailored to the specific needs. I am able to teach in English Literature and Creative Writing from IGCSE through to A-Level. A typical lesson will take an hour. For literature, the book/poem to be studied will be discussed and the student will be guided along with the text. The aim will be better understanding and creating effective arguments from the student's own interpretation, in preparation for exam time. For creative writing, I shall work with the student to brainstorm story prompts for practice, focusing on the weaknesses of student to better prepare them for the exam. I shall provide fair and honest feedback, brutal when required but with a gentle hand. We shall discuss the feedback, brainstorming ways to improve the text for the next round. You book as many sessions as you want, no contracts.
