About Wren
I am a violin tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Composition (Violin Focus), specializing in crossover and contemporary styles. My focus includes Jazz, Rock, Hip-Hop Strings, and World Music. I love teaching improvisation and using looping pedals and effects to expand live performance possibilities.
Students learn to write solos, adapt popular music, and explore tone and texture. I encourage experimentation and creative expression alongside solid technique. Beginners and advanced players are supported in developing their own musical voice.
Lessons combine performance, technology, and composition. Students gain skills in improvisation, looping, and sound layering. Every lesson inspires creativity and confidence. Let’s push the violin beyond tradition and explore modern musical possibilities.

My violin teaching focuses on developing fast and accurate sight-reading skills. I guide students through ledger lines, complex rhythms, and multi-part scores with a structured approach. Visual-to-finger coordination is central to my methodology.
Students practice note recognition, pattern anticipation, and rhythm exercises. I include real musical pieces to apply skills practically. Lessons are designed to make playing new pieces instinctive.
I support learners in musicals, worship, and ensemble performances. Beginners gain confidence with step-by-step instruction, and advanced players refine speed and precision. Feedback is constant and constructive.
Students leave lessons able to read and perform music fluently. Each session strengthens independence and accuracy. Together, we make sight-reading an effortless skill.
