About Romi
I teach guitar with a focus on creativity, self-expression, and solid musical understanding. With more than 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance (Contemporary Styles), I help students grow as both players and composers. My lessons balance technical mastery with the freedom to explore ideas. We study harmony, melody, and rhythm not just as theory, but as creative tools. Students learn how to arrange, compose, and refine their own music. I introduce harmonic layering, melodic phrasing, and counterpoint to add color to your sound. We also work on recording simple demos to document your growth. I love adapting lessons to individual goals, whether you’re a new learner or a professional refining your craft. My guitar teaching philosophy is built on one idea: rhythm creates connection. A strong rhythmic foundation makes music feel alive and engaging. I teach strumming variations, fingerpicking patterns, and groove techniques that bring energy to your playing. We explore rhythm through multiple genres to build adaptability. Lessons include exercises for syncopation, accents, and picking dynamics. Students practice timing with metronomes and rhythmic tracks to strengthen consistency. Each session focuses on both precision and feel. I adapt lessons for your learning style, ensuring steady progress. The Fingerstyle Enthusiast develops coordination and independence for complex textures. The Worship Leader learns fluid transitions and expressive dynamics for live settings. I provide continuous feedback and encouragement to support growth. Together, we’ll build the muscle memory and instinct for solid timing. You’ll gain confidence not only in rhythm but also in your musical presence. My goal is to make rhythm second nature so you can truly enjoy playing from the heart.
