Hello, my name is Nancy. I am an international school student with experience studying in international/American education systems. I am passionate about the English language and helping students build confidence in their language skills. My teaching approach focuses on creating personalized lessons based on each student's goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. I use clear explanations, practical examples, guided practice, and detailed feedback to help students improve.
A typical lesson begins with identifying the student's current level and goals, followed by a focused review of key skills. For English and grammar lessons, we may work on sentence structure, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing techniques. For SAT preparation and essay writing, I help students analyze questions, develop effective strategies, practice timed responses, and improve their organization and clarity. Each lesson includes opportunities for students to apply what they learn and receive constructive feedback.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my international background and personal experience navigating different academic environments. Having been in international school all my life, I understand the challenges students face when developing strong English skills and preparing for standardized tests. I aim to make lessons tailored to each student's learning style.
My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students who want to improve their English, strengthen grammar skills, develop essay-writing abilities, or prepare for the SAT. Whether students need academic support, test preparation, or help building confidence in English communication, I will work with them to reach their goals.
