About Issa
I graduated with a Bachelor's in Spanish, and have lived in multiple Spanish-speaking countries including Spain and Peru. I have achieved a B2-C1 fluency as graded by the international system of Spanish-language proficiency, and strongly believe that real-world practice is more important than textbook lessons. My philosophy is to embrace discomfort as a sign of growth, and encourage students to seek out/engage in opportunities that allow them to sharpen their skills.

Language is one facet of culture, and understanding culture as a whole often helps to make lessons more relevant and memorable. I encourage the study of spanish cultures as a whole, often incorporating art (music, film, literature, etc) and history into lessons.
In group settings the curriculum will focus heavily on building oral expression and vocabulary skills. In individual lessons, there is an option to add an emphasis on career-relevant vocabulary (medical terms, technological terms, etc).
