About Catherine
Hello! My name is Catherine Choi and I'm currently a high school student in the Dallas area. I am originally from South Korea but lived in a lot of cities around the world. I am fluent in 5 languages: English, French, Korean, Mandarin, and mathematics (being the language of the world).
I primarily specialize in competition math which requires vast experience in solving conceptual problems and varies from what is taught in school. Moreover, I am passionate about public speaking, winning more than my fair share of Model UN conferences. I believe that whether it's math or foreign languages, communicating successfully through it is most important.

As an international student, I like to offer a hands-on tutoring style that requires students to learn by example. Once I can solve a problem efficiently, my student, in turn, can follow the patterns and do the same. If this becomes a habit of learning, they will be able to solve any real-world problems.
At the beginning of every class, I like to start with an equation or phrase we mentioned last class to ensure the students are kept in the loop and do not forget any essential concepts.
