About Stuart
I’m a professional Tenor, as well as an Actor, Martial Artist and Stuntman. I spend a lot of my time performing, directing and teaching around the globe but have far greater availability in the current situation, and have moved my teaching practice online! I’m very friendly (honest!) and lessons should be a good combination of fun, self-discovery and hard work.
I teach all abilities, from complete beginner to working professional.
I was originally trained as a classical singer from a young age by Claudio Barr before getting my degree at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, where I studied the Tenor voice under renowned teacher Ian Baar and continued to do so for over 10 years. Since 2012 I have continued to study the Bel Canto technique with Carl Penlington-williams. Over the past 20 years, as well as performing leading roles in various West End, Touring and International Multi-Million Dollar Productions, I have also attended several Operatic workshops and sung with a number of Orchestra’s across Europe.
As an experienced Martial Artist and qualified PT, I also train people privately – Please ask for more details if interested in getting fit whilst learning to kick, punch and spin weapons around…
Singing lessons - £40 per hour. (Usually £55 but discounted due to Covid & being online!)
Lessons will be via Skype/facetime until the COVID situation changes! I’m happy to then change back to face to face lessons at my usual location on Edgware Road, London.

I’m classically trained and believe this is the greatest foundation for your voice, but having performed in both Operas and Rock Musicals around the UK and in the West End from Les Miserables to Jesus Christ Superstar to Bat Out of Hell! – I tend to teach a combination of Classical and pop techniques which I’ve picked up along the way and find really helpful to develop a strong, safe and versatile instrument.
I have helped guide singers who have passions for all sorts of genres, whether it’s to increase their range and control for pop vocals, or to increase their size and tone quality for live theatre.

Excellent! The methods Stuart gave me were actually excellent, but good at the same time because overall, the session went well, with some useful tips when using the methods that he suggested me to do.
