About RICHARD
I have worked in public and private school education for 12 years, including abundant teaching using online educational platforms. I’ve been published by Rattle, Rust + Moth, Spiritus (Johns Hopkins U.), Horizons (British Fantasy Society) and elsewhere. I hold an MFA in Writing and an MA in English and Creative Writing as well as a BA in Social Sciences. I’m also enrolled on the English Literature and Criticism diploma course with Cambridge U. I am a two time Pushcart Prize nominee (poetry and microfiction).

I base my Literature classes on close reading and examination of a key text, such as a classical Greco-Roman work. I use Zoom and Google Classroom for assignments, discussion, Q&A and feedback. My approach is friendly, supportive, and Socratic!
I base my writing classes on a workshop format. After writing a rough draft to the prompt, students are given feedback then revise, edit, repeat!
